I appreciate this pun in Pasadena. Traffic prohibited me from getting a picture that actually shows the original fork in the road. What an appropriate visual for shea right now.
FI found this great photo that Shea took last year when we stayed at a home on this wonderful lake in a costal town. It was a beautiful March day with the fog rising off the water and the blue sky starting to imerge. Who needed the beach? It's not usually that nice over there, so quite the treat too!
Here's a sculpture that I spotted yesterday. It reminds me of Andy Goldsworthy's work. There is a fabulous documentary on him creating his sculptures called "Andy Goldsworthy Working With Time - Rivers and Tides" (Netflix has it available on instant play, and youtube has a short of it--which if I could set the link up I would--oh Pat...!). It's a great example of being and working in the moment!
Oh my gosh. Everything you could want under one roof! You've got the whole package; efficient, economical, low carbon footprint, nice detailing, portable, good color and a bit of whimsy. The owner even offered to sell it to me. Tempting....
cairn Here's a show stopper along one of the trails I hike. One cairn is not too unusual to see but a group of twenty or more is quite a statement! Today as I walked by, three people approached, who had never seen it before, and were totally enchanted by it. They stopped and walked all around them wondering who could have made them. Pretty cool watching someone else having an aha moment!
I saw these on display in a Johnson County, Kansas Museum. The artist for the stainless steel piece is Do-Ho Suh and the exterior is military dog tags. The other piece definitely caught my attention! It exhibits a colorful attention to detail and displays a pageantry of textile materials...also love the socks. You can't go wrong with a trip to the museum.
Friday night we went to the production of Thirty-Nine Steps at the Armory Center Stage. It was a delightful, fast-paced romp based on Alfred Hitchock's movie of the same name. We also enjoyed the lighting and decided to share. The large ceiling shot to the right is the central area and the other is the side lighting inside the theater.
Not many finds today, but I did like this "Clothes Tree" on NW 21st. You should have seen the dressing room.... Maybe if your bear needs a new outfit she could check this tree out.

Ah, it's warm and sunny here today and hints of Spring are starting to pop up. I'm obsessed with Anthropologie's flower creations and how delightfully they scream Spring!
Awakening "Orange" CRAB on top of Jakes in Portland! One of his claws got hung up in the roof trap, but luckily he was freed to roam rooftops at night.
Busy days need just the right beginnings for body and soul!!

Here's an interesting character with an intense gaze. He presides over my friend's backyard.
I keep encountering those snapshots of things, both large and small, that made me smile. Usually I was alone or even worse, I failed to acknowledge the importance of these findings in the scheme of my life.
Here's to sharing fun finds that challenge us both.
