This is how I felt when I found out the groundhog saw his shadow....but actually it's "The Crying Giant" by Tom Otterness at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City. They also have one of Louise Bourgeois' spiders at the entry. Check out the video on the one at the Tate, in London...
LINK TO the "LOUISE BOURGEOIS' SPIDER" in London
I am trying to find out how many spiders there are. I've seen the ones in Bilboa, Denver and Kansas City. I missed the ones in Paris and London, I'll add those to my "to do list" ...Where are the others??

Great picture...and that's not only how i felt after the groundhog emerged but also how i felt an hour into shoveling a foot of snow!
ReplyDeleteKudos on the hyperlinking!! Also, I just really love this sculpture!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!! Loved the photos. How do you put two in one post? And the link was a nice touch. Perhaps I'm going to need to take the blogging class after all... I like the darker background color, it makes the photos pop. I may play around with it so if I mess anything up be prepared to bail me out!
ReplyDeleteHey, forgot to say, the footnotes are a riot. You're so clever! Ok so I managed the two photos but am having trouble laying out the text where I want it to go. Any suggestions?
