Pat's New Boot

New adventure day 1.  41 days to go.  I'll be smiling when this plantar fasciitis thing is GONE.  I've been trying various "cures" over the last 13 months and the last one (a night splint) actually created a whole new problem with my achilles tendon.  YIKES, now this will hopefully solve both issues.  I guess I'll have to cut back on the gymnastics and dancing.....and wearing my 4" heels.  Now I at least have something to blame. 

Blue Away!

I was looking for blue and curves to send you but unfortunately our 66 mph winds yesterday "blue" all the color away!

Building Toppers and Blue Sky

More Twig Art

Loved the scale of this one, note the person on the right. This one was by Patrick Doughtery for an art project at the University of Kansas and was built by the students.  We also saw an installation at Wieden and Kennedy about 5 years ago, by him.   They are such great projects, but I think the one you found in Phoenix must be a different artist?

MORE TWIG HOUSES

This is one of several twig houses that I saw at the botanical gardens in Phoenix. They are quite spacious. I particularly like the windows. I don't remember the name of the artist who had created them- maybe it's the same artist you encountered in CA! I think they are pretty magical.

This would be an appropriate camper for the little lady that lived in a shoe with all of her kids.

A place to Get Away

I met this delightful 90 year old artist while in southern California and when she told me that she had a place to rent, I had to check it out... Hmmm I think it was a little too close to nature, but it did seem like a fun place to "Get Away"!

Room with a View

Those two white spots are raccoon eyes! The little rascal climbed up the flagstone wall, into this decorative tower (about the size of a very large, two story dog house) on a CU building.

Finals week at CU, yeah! That means summer is almost here and life in this ol' neighborhood will be much quieter after Friday. This fountain head at Norlin Library shares my joy!

Now this is an eye catching sight to get motorists to slow down. Worked for me, I had to stop to take their picture!
